About Brasserie V
Brasserie V is a casual, European-inspired neighborhood brasserie located on Madison's historic Monroe Street. Brasserie V's concept is really pretty simple. It was borne out of the passion for the French Joie de Vivre developed over years spent in France and Belgium, and combines our love of rustic French food paired with Belgian beer and noble wines. Our name is derived from the French word brasser which means to brew, and brasserie which means brewery. In France and Belgium, a brasserie is a type of restaurant that evolved from Alsatian breweries that serves alcohol (typically beers), and simple plates of food. They tend to serve more popular French or Belgian dishes from many different regions.
